1, The dimension of grab bars that is its diameter, width and strength must allow the grab bars to be grabbed easily as support.
2, Grab bars should have continuous gripping surfaces, without interruption or obstruction that can break a hand hold.
3, Grab bars should be in a colour that contrasts with the surrounding area.
4, A clearance space between the walls and the grab bars should be allowed if the grab bars are mounted to the wall.

Flip-up grab bars are important because they will not obstruct side transfer.

Please note the vertical grab bar in relation to the sitting person. The vertical grab bar must be reachable to the sitting person. It should not be too far back and thus not reachable to the sitting person
